Description: The campus Telecom Catalog ServiceNow associated billing system Pinnacle, is scheduled by the vendor for periodic monthly maintenance.

The scheduled window for maintenance is between 8:00am and 2:00pm EST (0500 to 1100 PST).

Be aware, the maintenance is not usually projected to last the whole window.

This may have low impact on the Telecom Catalog such as closing work orders, service provider uploads, and Funding and Service Ownership changes.

Campus customers will not be able to submit Funding or Name changes during the upgrade.

The system will be fully operational again on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Emergency Maintenance UCBVPN

Description: This morning at 5:35am, the network group performed emergency maintenance to update the gateways for the Campus Remote Access VPN service.

This work was done to mitigate a critical security vulnerability which the vendor had informed us of.

Typically the network group announces all maintenance with a significant impact well prior to the work being done.

In this case, an announcement was not possible due to the sensitivity of the situation.

The network group and Information Security and Policy are not aware of any actual compromise of the VPN system, and this action was intended to be preventative only.
